If you visit your dealer of electronic components, recently, I'm sure you feel as I do when I'm completely overwhelmed. Every day more and more products flood the market and it seems that an endless array of features and options. In bad, I go stupid in a daze, staring at the characters and reading the descriptions, I do not understand. On good days, I have to bribe one of my techno-geek friends to accompany me, and translate into English, what all these optionsactually say.

My shopping expeditions latest navigation system was. I am willing to relocate to another state and decided to be active and the system would get before we do, so I have time to learn to use it. This is a good idea would be if I could figure out what to buy. Dozens of brands, dozens of options and a wide price range to make it almost impossible to make a decision. I did it the hard way that their purchase is not always best to get the most learnedE-possible, but I have unlimited funds to buy the best is. Find some middle ground would be nice, but how do you know what the options until you have actually owned one and see how it works?

So far, the Internet search have been my greatest help. My husband laughs at me for spending time pouring over reviews online and retailer Web sites are trying to find a machine that does for me, but I must be able to trust that my money was well spent and that Imy best is available. Of course, two weeks later to choose the price will probably fall another fifty dollars, but unfortunately, that is the nature of the beast. Electronics are becoming faster, smarter and less every day, but you take the plunge for some time.

The text to voice is wonderful. Easy to understand and the volume is adjustable. We have had some problem with slowness in recalculating the location if we don't follow the directions exactly. Garmin eTrex H Handheld GPS Navigator Review

This is the first GPS I have owned, so as a beginner I have found this to be a really useful piece of kit. It is very easy and straight forward to set up and is usable pretty much out of the box. The display is clear and all of the different pages are easy to read. This is a basic GPS and so doesn't have maps, however I was given this so I could use it for Geocaching and it's excellent for that task. The only issue I have with the unit (which stops it from getting 5 stars) is the fact that the cable for attaching it to the PC is a serial cable. Very few people have serial port on their PC's so I had to fork out for a serial / USB adaptor. Now whilst this should be straight forward, not all adaptors will work with this unit. I hit lucky! I would recommend using this with a PC as it can be fiddly trying to enter longitude and latitude in using the unit itself. Overall as an entry level GPS this is a winner!

I tried several other GPS's including the Tom-Tom which considered to be good.
Most of the GPS's has more or less similar functionalities. However so far this Garmin GPS is the best I had so far. I am looking for functionalities but from the other side I want it to be easy to use. Easy to use means that when you are driving it is not leading you into several complex sub menus to reach simplex function you need. The Garmin provides the best intuitive and easy interface which is the most important while you are driving.
Beside of this the phone hand free driving working very well, while it provides very clear sound. All of the Cell phone keys including the contacts list can be accessed directly from the GPS which is really nice (it is depend on the cell phone you are using).
